Job DescriptionCNC Setup MachinistPosition OverviewWe are looking to hire a junior level CNC Setup Machinist as part of a new CNC department focused on aerospace tooling, fixtures, and composite trimming. This person will have few years’ experience with setups and want to learn and be responsible for precision setups, efficient tooling strategies, and supporting production. We need someone who has more milling experience as opposed to lathes. This is a position that will offer a lot of growth opportunities for the right candidate that wants to pursue a true machining position. You can expect to have a lot of training to learn a unique type of machining. Responsibilities- Setup 3-axis (Fadal, DNM 750ii) and 5-axis (DMS Glacier5) CNC mills for tooling, trimming, and part machining- Interpret aerospace-level drawings and GD&T- Perform tool changes, set offsets, and validate setup quality- Support quick-turn and high-mix production needs- Assist programmers with fixture validation and improvementsRequirements- 3 years CNC mill setup experience- Proficient with Fanuc controls; Fagor experience is a plus- Ability to work with composites, plastics, and metals- Familiar with job shop workflows and AS9100 environments- ProShop ERP experience is a plusCompensation- $24–$28/hr depending on experience- Full benefits, overtime available, solid career growth path- Must contribute independently with minimal training
