Core duties and responsibilities

• Interpreting plans: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) files to understand project specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Machine setup: Set up, operate, and disassemble manual, automatic, and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders. This includes aligning and securing cutting tools and workpieces.
• Manufacturing parts: Shape and grind parts to precise specifications, monitoring the machine's speed and feed to ensure accuracy.
• Quality control: Measure, examine, and test finished products using precision tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet specifications and have no defects.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing machinery to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers and other personnel to resolve problems, ensure consistency between plans and products, and make modifications when necessary.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety and health rules and practices to maintain a clean and organized work area.
