Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, home community care, and specialized units. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support to patients with mobility issues, ensuring their safety during transfers and ambulation.
- Assist nursing staff in administering medications and treatments as directed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and progress.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Support specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, pediatrics, geriatrics, emergency medicine needs, or disabilities.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with critical care environments or specific patient populations (e.g., PICU) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
