Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to facilitate a smooth workflow.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to the construction team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules using scheduling software such as MS Project or P6.
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with local building codes and regulations.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of workmanship and materials are met.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment and address any concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Proficient in scheduling software such as MS Project, P6, or SureTrak.
- Experience with construction management software like Procore, BuilderTrend, or CMiC.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications and security clearance as required by the project.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
