Our client, a North American leader in their manufacturing niche, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for their largest facility in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a team-oriented professional with a proven track record of driving safety, quality, and operational excellence. The Supervisor will play a key role in developing people, improving processes, and delivering value to the marketplace.
Work Setting: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Contain and diagnose quality issues.
- Manage shift schedules and labor allocation.
- Develop, implement, and monitor training programs.
- Prioritize challenges and allocate resources effectively.
- Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Gather team feedback to solve process and organizational issues.
- Communicate and collaborate with Plant Leadership and Staff.
- Train and coach production teammates to achieve performance goals.
- Conduct performance engagements and coaching for team growth.
- Lead production operations in alignment with plant policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Work, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analysis.
- Complete shift administrative tasks and assist with production as needed.
- Champion a safety-first culture through attention to detail, self-awareness, standard work, and STOP principles.
Qualifications:
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles (preferred)
- Ability to understand equipment parameters and capabilities.
- Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Oracle experience preferred.
- Commitment to a zero-incident safety culture, teammate engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or minimum 4 years of technical supervisory experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Willingness to work night shift (7PM-7AM) on a rotating schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next)
