Taylor Lake Laboratories is an ISO 17025-accredited environmental microbiology laboratory specializing in microbial analyses for cleanroom and compounding facilities. We provide high-quality testing and data integrity to support USP <797> compliance for sterile compounding pharmacies, hospitals, and related industries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about microbiology, aseptic environments, and analytical quality who thrives in a regulated laboratory setting.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform enumeration and identification of bacterial and fungal colonies from air, surface, and gloved fingertip samples.

• Analyze and interpret USP <797> media fill kits and environmental monitoring samples.

• Log and accession incoming samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

• Perform data entry, review, and reporting of test results with a focus on accuracy and traceability.

• Conduct routine equipment verification, calibration checks, and maintenance in compliance with ISO 17025 and laboratory SOPs.

• Participate in proficiency testing programs and internal quality control activities.

• Maintain detailed laboratory records and uphold all quality assurance and safety standards.

• Collaborate with the Lab Manager and Quality Manager to support method validations, documentation updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a closely related life science field (required).

• 2–4 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an environmental, pharmaceutical, or ISO 17025-accredited microbiology lab.

• Experience with microbial enumeration (CFU counts) and identification using classical and/or biochemical methods (e.g., Gram stain, morphology, biochemical tests).
