Revit Electrical Engineer - Customer Success & Training
Job Description
Job Description
Design Master Software helps electrical engineers design buildings in Revit. We’re a profitable, self-funded B2B SaaS company that’s been around for 20 years. Our tools make electrical design more accurate and more efficient — and we back that up with real, responsive support from real engineers.
We’re a small team (six of us today), and we take pride in the craft of building software that solves real problems. No venture capital, no frantic product pivots — just steady work and continual improvement.
About the Role
We’re looking for an electrical engineer with strong Revit experience who enjoys helping other engineers succeed.
This isn’t a production role — you won’t be stamping drawings or grinding through deadlines. Instead, you’ll use your building-design expertise to support and guide the electrical designers who rely on our software every day.
You’ll spend most of your time talking with other electrical engineers: learning how they work, helping them evaluate our tools, and making sure new customers get onboarded smoothly. You’ll help them set up families and shared parameters, configure standards, and improve their workflows.
It’s a great role for an engineer who loves the industry but doesn’t love the stress of the submittal calendar — and who wants to have a broader influence by shaping the tools the industry uses.
What You’ll Do
- Onboard and train new customers — live sessions, workflow guidance, best practices
- Support trial users — answer questions, run follow-up calls, help them evaluate our software
- Assist with sales demos — engineer-to-engineer conversations (no quotas, no commission)
- Create content — sample models, templates, and training materials
- Be the voice of the customer — provide feedback that improves our product
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in electrical design for buildings
- Deep Revit knowledge — families, shared parameters, firm-wide standards
- Someone who enjoys teaching and mentoring other engineers
- Comfortable leading calls and explaining technical concepts
- Curious about how people work and willing to adapt to different workflows
- A relationship-builder engineers trust and like talking to
PE license preferred (or actively pursuing one). You’ll use your engineering expertise every day — just differently than you have before.
What You Can Expect
- First two weeks: Learn our software, shadow onboarding and demo calls
- Weeks 3–6: Lead follow-up and onboarding calls independently
- By 3 months: Confidently run full demos and guide customers through successful adoption
You’ll have a real voice here — if you see a better way to do something, we want to hear it.
Why This Role Might Be Perfect for You
- You like helping other engineers grow and get better
- You want out of the high-pressure production grind without leaving engineering behind
- You want to influence the future of electrical design tools
- You enjoy building relationships as much as solving problems
