(Folding • Sorting • Washroom)Position SummaryThe Laundry Associate is responsible for supporting daily production operations in a high-volume commercial laundry environment. This position may work in one or more areas: sorting soiled linens, operating washroom equipment, or folding and finishing clean products. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow safety procedures, and consistent productivity.1. Sorting Area- Receive and unload bags, carts, or containers of soiled linens.- Separate items by category (sheets, gowns, towels, blankets, etc.).- Identify and remove damaged, contaminated, or improperly classified items.- Follow infection-control guidelines and PPE requirements.- Maintain a clean and organized sorting station.2. Washroom Area- Load and unload industrial washing machines and tunnel washers.- Select proper wash formulas based on product type.- Monitor chemical levels, temperatures, and machine operations.- Report equipment issues to maintenance or supervisors.- Transfer washed products to drying or finishing areas.3. Folding / Finishing Area- Fold clean linens using manual or automated equipment.- Inspect items for stains, tears, or quality issues.- Stack, count, and bundle finished products.- Label and prepare completed orders for delivery.- Maintain production standards for speed and accuracy.Qualifications- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods.- Comfortable working in hot, humid, fast-paced areas.- Able to follow instructions in English or Spanish.- Previous laundry or warehouse experience is a plus.Core Competencies- Reliability & strong attendance- Teamwork and communication- Fast learning and adaptability- Quality control and attention to detail- Safety awarenessWork EnvironmentIndustrial laundry environment with exposure to heat, humidity, chemicals, and machinery.
