We are currently looking for a Demographic Research and Planning Specialist (LAUSD CM-DRPS-1125-45) for our contract with Los Angeles Unified School District.

We are accepting applications for this "extended" position through 12/4 @ 9am
Candidates previously submitted for LAUSD CM-DRPS-0824-29 and CM-DRPS-0824-29-Ext can NOT be resubmitted for this extension.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Simplex is required.

This is an on-site, long term job. You must be located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years full-time paid professional experience in research, mapping or data analysis in demography, urban planning, statistics, geography or any related field.
  • Experience in compiling and analyzing school or enrollment data is preferred


Required Education:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, mathematics, geography, economics or related field


Knowledge/Skills:

  • Statistical methods of analysis
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related computer software such as ArcGIS10
  • Mapping concepts and techniques in cartography
  • Research methods, principles and graphic presentations
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Best practices and terminologies in demography

Compensation:
The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors such as individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Work Authorization:
