Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Technician – Meat Processing
Location: Pomona, CA
Schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Full-Time)
Pay Rate: 18.00 to 19.00 per hour
About the Role
A meat processing facility in Pomona is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support food safety and product quality. This position helps ensure all meat products meet company, USDA, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw meat, in-process product, and finished goods
- Perform temperature checks, weight checks, and visual inspections
- Monitor production lines for compliance with safety, sanitation, and GMP standards
- Verify labeling, lot codes, packaging, and product specifications
- Maintain accurate QC records and documentation
- Identify and report any quality issues or non-conforming products
- Conduct or support pre-operational inspections for equipment and work areas
- Work closely with production and sanitation teams to maintain food safety standards
Qualifications
- Experience in meat processing or USDA-regulated facilities preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and basic food safety practices is a plus
- Comfortable handling raw meat and working in refrigerated environments
- Cold Environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Reliable and punctual for early-morning shifts
- Bilingual English and Spanish is helpful
