As our Manta Captain, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding guests on memorable manta ray snorkeling tours. This is more than just steering a boat—it’s about creating lasting impressions, ensuring safety, and showcasing the natural beauty of Hawaii’s marine life. This position is Part Time.
Pay
Pay is NOT per hour but per TRIP/TOUR. Pay starts at $75 per trip with potential to increase depending on performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Manta Captain, your responsibilities will include: - Safely navigating and operating our vessels during tours and excursions. - Leading and managing a team of crew members to ensure smooth operations. - Providing exceptional customer service to guests, answering questions, and sharing your knowledge of local marine life. - Ensuring compliance with all safety and maritime regulations. - Conducting routine checks and basic maintenance to keep the vessel in top condition. - Responding calmly and effectively to any emergencies or unexpected situations.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need: - At least 1 year of experience as a captain, preferably with experience in Keauhou Harbor. A valid captain’s license and knowledge of maritime safety protocols. - Strong leadership and communication skills to guide both crew and guests. - A passion for marine life and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences. - The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.
