Walker Engineering is actively hiring Journeyman Electricians to support our growing workload across major commercial projects in the DFW area. If you're looking for consistent work, a strong team, and opportunities to sharpen your skills, this is a great time to join us.

About the Role:
As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll be part of a dedicated field team working under the guidance of a Foreman or Superintendent. Your work will include installations, modifications, upgrades, and repairs across active job sites—each day bringing new tasks that keep things moving and keep you challenged.

Expect to handle responsibilities associated with E-5 classification and below, using your experience to support all phases of the job.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing layouts and materials for install

  • Running conduit, pulling wire, and installing switchgear

  • Connecting power supply wiring per blueprints and specs

  • Assisting with system testing and troubleshooting

  • Performing rough-in and finish work in commercial environments

  • Keeping a clean, safe, and organized job site

  • Following all safety procedures and team protocols

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TDLR Journeyman Electrician License

  • 5+ years of commercial electrical experience

  • OSHA30 certification (or ability to obtain)

  • Basic hand tools

  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, code, and system layout

  • Mechanical aptitude and solid math/reading skills

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID

  • Reliable transportation

  • Willingness to support project needs, including occasional overtime

  • Completion of required pre-employment checks (physical, background, drug screening)

Preferred:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
