Monday - Thursday 7am to 5pm

Position Description:

This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment used in the day-to-day operations for construction and other activities as needed. Fabricating trunk lines, fusing poly pipe, installing pumps and motors in new wells. Operating pulling units for well installation, hose reels, backhoes, motor grader, air compressors and water trucks. Assist in the construction and fabrication of materials and parts for the installation of header houses and areas needed for construction activities.

Responsibilities:

•Building header house components from PVC, HDPE Polypropylene, Stainless Steel, and other components.

•Installing submersible pumps and motors in wellfields wells.

•Install metering equipment to monitor flow rates, pressures and ORP.

•Operating heavy equipment for the construction of wellfields. Backhoes, excavators, motor grader, forklift, air compressors, poly fusing equipment, pulling units, hose reels, poly winders and water trucks.

•Install electrical wires and piping to individual wells.

•Building header house drainage basins for contaminants.

•Reading and understanding P&IDs.

•Building materials lists for inventory.

•Fabricating and assembling components used in the building of the manifolds and header house components.

•Safely operate pickup trucks, hand tools, compressors, generators, wiring pumps, saws, grinders, forklifts, trailers.

•Be proficient in welding, oxy/acetylene torch, plasma cutter.

•Safely work with onsite chemicals used in daily activities.

•Maintain records of activities.

•Demonstrate strong commitment to safety and environmental protection.

•Supporting the Construction department and any other areas that require assistance.

•Maintain the equipment’s mechanical components.

Qualifications

•High School Diploma or GED

•9 months to 2 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Valid Class C driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company.

•Ability to work productively with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.

•Must be able to read and write and perform basic math including multiplication and division.

•Safely operate equipment utilized in the construction of the header houses and its components.

•The ability to follow the company's industrial safety and radiation safety policies and procedures.

•Maintain required records for certain activities.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift 25-100 pounds repeatedly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards typically associated with a uranium ISR facility which includes the presence of low levels of radioactive materials and radiation, low to moderate noises levels, moving equipment, wet surfaces, uneven ground and facility equipment. The work is generally outdoors, and the employee can be exposed to inclement weather including cold, hot, snow, rain, mud etc.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
