Qualifications:

  • Must have experience and skill in woodworking, use of power tools, and construction safety standards.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Must not be hesitant to lead, but also willing to follow.
  • Must have an above-average work ethic and extreme dependability.
  • Must be keen to detail and unwilling to compromise on quality.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and means of communication (i.e., smart phone)
  • Must have general knowledge of Tennessee Construction Codes and building standards and be ready to engage in continual learning.
  • Must have experience with plan reading and interpretation.
  • Preferable Osha 10 or 30 accreditation


The primary responsibility of the Jasper Superintendent is to always ensure the highest quality of workmanship in all trades throughout the project in keeping with the Jasper brand of excellence and best construction practices. This position includes the following duties:

  • Work hand in hand with the project manager to build the schedule, maintain budget, and stay after critical path supplies.
  • Manage schedule and critical path to keep the project on track with an acute awareness of lead times and conflicts.
  • Facilitate communication and understanding of the plans and work scope for each subcontractor. Maintain communication with subcontractors and require accountability throughout project.
  • Be a solution finder and problem solver! Understand the proper channels for finding solutions. Example: Whenever presenting an issue with the design or plan, also present a solution or workaround.
  • Record Keeping:

Properly notate all purchase orders with PO and Cost

Input daily logs to Buildertrend to document progress and issues.

Turn in receipts upon transaction!

(Note: This will all be explained and taught during onboarding)


Salary:

  • $70,000 - $90,000 plus benefits- depending on education and experience
