We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Caregiver to provide high-quality care to our clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, and providing emotional support. The Certified Home Caregiver will work closely with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility, including transferring from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs, as well as walking and exercising.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications as directed by healthcare providers and monitor clients for any adverse reactions.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding if necessary, while adhering to any dietary restrictions.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and tidy living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, engage clients in meaningful activities, and accompany them to appointments or outings.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in clients' physical or mental health, and report concerns to healthcare providers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily logs, medication administration, and any incidents or changes in condition.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Safety: Ensure a safe environment for clients by implementing safety measures, identifying potential hazards, and responding to emergencies promptly.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Home Caregiver (e.g., Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or similar)
- Previous experience in home care, healthcare, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)/food workers card
