This position offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a retail healthcare setting located in Peridot, AZ. The role is a full-time contract assignment (13+ weeks, with potential extensions), requiring a dedicated professional to oversee pharmacy services and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring high-quality service delivery and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on performance metrics aligned with quality improvement goals.
  • Implement and update department policies and procedures.
  • Continuously enhance program and service effectiveness.
  • Support staff development through coaching, adherence to HR policies, and providing growth opportunities.
  • Manage computer and dispensing systems to maintain data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee purchasing and inventory management to guarantee cost-effective and timely supply availability.
  • Facilitate training and professional development activities.
  • Prepare monthly performance and improvement reports.
  • Participate actively in training, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge and competency through ongoing education.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of pharmacist experience, with at least two (2) years in hospital practice preferred.
  • Post-graduate Year 1 (PGY1) residency preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire.
  • Current and active unrestricted pharmacist license valid in any U.S. state; Arizona license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Licensed or qualified to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications is preferred.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 30 hours per week.
  • Monday through Friday.
