VSO is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst / Intelligence Lead to join our leadership team, overseeing intelligence operations, mentoring analysts, and guiding program development in a fast-paced GSOC environment.
Position Summary
The Senior Intelligence Analyst / Intelligence Lead serves as the right-hand to client and internal leadership, providing subject-matter expertise in intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting. This role is responsible for programmatic development, quality control, and mentorship of Intelligence Analysts and GSOC Operators. The lead ensures intelligence products are actionable, accurate, and aligned with client needs while maintaining situational awareness across operational areas.
This role differs from Intelligence Analysts by focusing on program oversight, strategic guidance, and quality assurance, rather than day-to-day tactical intelligence collection
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
- Mentor Intelligence Analysts and support GSOC Operators, providing guidance on intelligence processes and reporting.
- Oversee development and maintenance of intelligence SOPs, reporting frameworks, and quality standards.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in intelligence cycle management, ensuring all products meet analytical and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations and Executive Leadership on cross-functional intelligence initiatives.
Advanced Intelligence Analysis
- Guide forward-looking intelligence analysis and strategic reporting to anticipate trends, threats, and risks.
- Conduct OSINT and intelligence research to support programmatic decisions and operational planning.
- Provide oversight and quality control of Intelligence Analyst outputs, including forward-looking reports, briefings, and risk assessments.
- Support investigations with analytical expertise and data correlation.
Operational Integration
- Advise GSOC leadership during emergencies and critical events.
- Maintain high-level situational awareness and provide intelligence recommendations during unfolding incidents.
- Collaborate with GSOC Operators to ensure intelligence is actionable and properly escalated to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in intelligence, investigations, military intelligence, or GSOC analysis.
- Proven leadership experience mentoring analysts or managing intelligence teams.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and briefing skills.
- Ability to make high-impact decisions under pressure.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality and data integrity.
- Familiarity with ICS, emergency-response frameworks, and intelligence cycle processes.
- Proficiency with mapping tools, dashboards, and intel systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Veteran or prior military intelligence senior analyst experience.
- Experience with:
-ATAK, Google Earth, ArcGIS
-GPS-based surveillance or tracking tools
-OSINT intelligence suites
-Complex investigations, forward-looking analysis, or regional threat forecasting
- CPR/First Aid and FEMA ICS certifications.
