Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic
Location: On-site - Linwood, PA
Pay: $24 - $30/hour (DOE)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to oversee the daily operation of press brake and/or laser equipment within our fabrication department. This role plays a key part in executing production schedules, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong press brake experience and a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes. Laser or CNC experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate press brake and/or laser equipment in alignment with production goals.
- Safely install, start up, and calibrate fabrication equipment including CNC machines, shears, and punches.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure precision.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
- Support custom and prototype sheet metal projects with engineering and R&D teams.
- Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to product quality standards.
- Maintain equipment and manage inventory of materials and tools to prevent downtime.
Required Experience:
- Press brake experience is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Laser or CNC experience is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials and fabrication methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ERP systems).
