The Caring Community of CT supports individuals with developmental disabilities so that they may live quality lives which are full, fruitful, and within a framework of fellowship with others. We are looking for caring & compassionate, hard-working individuals who wish to make a difference in the lives of our consumers. No experience necessary, we will train the right individuals - you can make a difference in other’s lives and build a career!
Starting pay: $18.64/HOUR - with yearly increases for the first three years
Community Living Specialists range of duties include, but are not limited to:
· Providing physical assistance as needed to the individual, which may require wheelchair transfers, use of gait belts/adaptive equipment, and partial or full assistance during hygiene/toileting
· Use of PMT (Physical/Psychological Management Training & other learned techniques as needed specific to each individual
· Medication Administration
· Implementing treatment & behavior plans specific to each individual & collecting data/submitting in a timely manner
· Providing positive guidance & encouragement for the individuals we serve
· Providing transportation in a safe & lawful manner
· Maintaining required certification of American Red Cross CPR & 1st Aid, Medication Administration as well as mandated state trainings.
Job Requirements:
· Must be 18 years of age
· High School diploma or GED
· Valid Drivers License
· The ability to pass a multi-state DMV & criminal history background check
· Punctual to each shift or training, strong time management and organizational skills

Fully paid orientation & training in First Aid/CPR Certification, PMT Certification, as well as Medication Administration Certification
