Architectural Quality Control Engineer – Large-Scale Construction
Austin, TX Area
We’re seeking an experienced Architectural QC Engineer to join our construction management team on a major large-scale industrial project. This role is ideal for a quality-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced, highly technical environments and takes pride in delivering precision-built, code-compliant facilities.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute project-specific Quality Control (QC) plans and inspection procedures.
- Review and verify Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) from subcontractors before work begins.
- Coordinate and perform field inspections with contractors and third-party agencies.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with project quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Track and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), punch lists, and quality observations.
- Review material submittals for compliance with design specifications and client requirements.
- Manage documentation, calibration schedules, and testing equipment at the project site.
- Prepare and present QA/QC reports and KPI analyses to project leadership.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering (required).
- 5+ years of experience, including at least 2 years in construction and 3 years in QA/QC.
- Strong knowledge of architectural inspections, city processes, and building codes.
- Experience supporting large-scale or industrial construction projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Bluebeam (preferred).
- Excellent documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
- English fluency required; bilingual (Korean or Spanish) a plus.
