Job description:
Clearstaff in Chicago is currently in need of experienced seamstress for a customer located in the Skokie, IL area, you will be sewing personal protective equipment.
Hours: 6:30AM-3PM
Pay:$18.00
Duties :
- Operate industrial sewing machines , including but not limited to single needle, 2 needle, Buttonholes, Regular Merrow, Walking foot Merrow, Bar Tacking.
- Sew Parts together within specified times and to specified standards.
- Follow sewing schedule established by department management.
- Track Material and batch numbers.
- Affix all required law labels and warning labels.
- Verify quality of Materials. Identify fabric flaws and sewing Flaws.
- Keep sewn pieces together by size/style and properly identified.
- Verify proper raw materials are utilized for every product on the production schedule.
- Assist with packaging of finished products when required.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
- Demonstrate consistent ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
Requirements:
- Experience with Industrial sewing operations necessary.
- Knowledge of fabric cutting, pattern development and general production background would be helpful.
- This position requires the ability to use measuring devices , spatial perception, and coordinated movements of the hand and feet.
- Ability to sit for prologued period.
