Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Facilities Maintenance Technician – Electrical to join our manufacturing team. This key role supports production by ensuring that all facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure are operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will bring a strong electrical and mechanical background with hands-on experience in industrial facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance on facility systems and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair industrial electrical systems, including 480V motors, lighting circuits, control panels, and other electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to identify and resolve system faults.
- Support maintenance tasks across other trades, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Assist with equipment installation, facility improvements, and modifications to racking, storage, and production infrastructure.
- Maintain facility exterior and interior, including grounds, parking lots, and snow removal where applicable.
- Safely operate and maintain tools, test instruments, and electrical equipment in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support overall plant safety and operational goals.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electrical or industrial maintenance a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of electrical/facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong electrical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Experience with industrial maintenance tools, control systems, and safety protocols.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
