Overview
Our client is seeking a talented Project Manager – Municipal Drinking Water to join their growing team in Denver. In this leadership role, you'll oversee complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects—including treatment facilities, pump stations, and water storage systems—while collaborating with top-tier engineers and technical specialists across multiple disciplines.
This position offers the opportunity to guide projects from concept to completion, drive client satisfaction, and contribute to the development of future engineering leaders. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in municipal drinking water systems, along with exceptional project management, client relations, and team development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management through all phases of project execution—concept, design, permitting, procurement, and construction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering long-term partnerships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to meet internal quality standards and client expectations on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee the development of project plans, schedules, staffing assignments, and financial tracking.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop innovative engineering solutions that meet evolving water quality regulations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff, supporting their technical and professional development.
  • Manage project contracts, subcontracts, and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with client requirements.
  • Participate in business development efforts, proposal preparation, and project pursuits.
  • Represent the company in professional associations and regional water/wastewater industry events.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of experience in design and project management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects (10+ years preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Proven success managing engineering design projects from start to finish, including financial oversight and client communication.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling software.
