Automation Technician | Now Hiring | Greensboro, NC
Compensation Includes:
- Starting rate of **$28.70 - $32.94/hour - **depending on experience
Rotating Shift Schedule:
- 7:00pm - 7:00am

Requirements:
-
Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment.
-
Recovers robot when it malfunctions.
-
Determines root cause of electrical and mechanical robot and PLC failures, then implements corrective actions.

Possesses troubleshooting and repair skills for both low and high voltage systems.

Troubleshoots and repairs gears, bearings, sprockets and other mechanical drive systems
-
Understands schematics for pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and can maintain those systems

Performs preventative maintenance on production line equipment
-
Utilizes CMMS to record equipment deficiencies, corrective actions, and to assess equipment breakdown trends
-
On-call as needed by department and able to be flexible with schedule as needed.

Must possess the ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders/platforms.

Sets up variable frequency drives
-
Wires 480 and lower voltage motors
-
Analytical, problem solving, and strong technical skills including mechanical, electrical and PLC programming
-
Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation.

HS Diploma or Equivalency, preferred associate’s degree.

5 + years automation technician experience within robot and PLC.
-
Maintenance and troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley and ABB equipment is preferred.
