PrideStaff is looking for an experienced and meticulous Mid-Level CAD Operator to join an industrial consultant team located in Charlotte, NC. The primary focus of this role is to translate design concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings, with a specialization in sheet metal work.
Location: Charlotte, NC 28270
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Rate: $20-$25/hour *based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and manage 2D drawings and 3D models of parts and assemblies.
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks as the primary CAD platform.
- Expertly conduct sheet metal design work, including modeling, applying bend allowances, and generating flat patterns.
- Prepare comprehensive draft drawings to be sent directly to external fabricators.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure designs are accurate and manufacturable.
- Maintain organized CAD file structure and ensure proper version control.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a CAD Operator/Designer.
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated experience in sheet metal design and drafting.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication).
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
