Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including commercial, multi-family, retail, and tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes and excellent analytical skills to ensure competitive and precise bidding.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects including materials, labor, and other related expenses.
- Analyze design drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Utilize estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and PlanSwift to prepare and manage estimates.
- Review and adjust estimates based on changes to project scope or schedule.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and timeline.
- Provide support during the bidding process and present estimates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, particularly in commercial and multi-family projects.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
