Job DescriptionPosition Description: Drywall Installer/Finisher Job DescriptionOverview:A Drywall Installer/Finisher measures, cuts, installs, and finishes drywall panels for residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects. This role ensures walls and ceilings are properly framed, smooth, and ready for paint or final finishes. The installer/finisher works with hand and power tools, reads blueprints, and maintains high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallationMeasure, cut, and fit drywall panels to walls and ceilings according to plans.Secure drywall sheets to wood or metal framing using screws, nails, or adhesives.Install corner beads, backing boards, and insulation materials as required.Fit and shape drywall around openings such as doors, windows, and electrical fixtures.FinishingApply tape and joint compound to seams, corners, and screw holes.Build up layers of compound to achieve a smooth, even finish.Sand finished surfaces by hand or machine to prepare for priming and painting.Repair cracks, holes, or damaged drywall surfaces.Create textures or specialty finishes according to project needs. $22.00 - $25.00 Hourly
