Central Time — 8:30 AM to 5:00 PMJob Summary:The Phlebotomist (Traveler) serves as the face of the organization by providing high-quality specimen collection while creating an atmosphere of trust and professionalism. This role involves direct patient interaction, accurate blood collection, proper specimen handling, and supporting high-volume patient service environments. The position requires strong customer service skills, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work independently across multiple locations as staffing needs require.Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with patients.
- Draw high-quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Explain procedures clearly and maintain patient trust and comfort.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.
- May be assigned to a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations.
- Perform daily activities accurately, safely, and on time under supervisor direction.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic details and confirm accuracy of specimen labeling.
- Maintain required documentation and records.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Attend training at various sites as assigned.
- Maintain reliable transportation and arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Stay for full shift duration and follow all attendance expectations.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience.
- Ability to deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Must be flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Must adhere to dress code, health and safety policies, and performance guidelines.
- Ability to make sound decisions using established procedures.
- Must have reliable transportation (bus, Uber, or rideshare not accepted).
- Must maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work multiple locations on short notice.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate openly with patients and staff.
- Ability to adapt to changes and maintain professionalism.
- Training site locations may vary.
