Tumbling and Dance Instructor
Job Preview
The Tumbling Instructor will teach gymnastics and tumbling to a wide range of ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and instructing assigned tumbling and gymnastic classes for preschool-school aged children.
- Responsible for development of progressive curriculum for various age groups
- Set-up equipment and perform safety checks.
- Communicate with parents and guardians.
- Responsible for set-up prior to class and clean-up after class.
- Supervise children after class until pick-up by parent or guardian.
- Assisting with marketing of classes provided
- Display creativity in the programs and willingness to improve the experience to maintain engagement, fun and development of students.
- First Aid and CPR Certified, or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Elevated Gymnastics background experience.
- Coaching/instructor background, a plus!
- One to three years' experience in Preschool Tumbling and Gymnastics ideal.
- Ability to communicate with children and parents.
- Ability to work autonomously and maintain class rosters along with facilitation of classes.
Physical Demands
- Work requires ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
- Work requires ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
- Work requires ability to stand, walk and kneel for 90% of work time.
- Work requires ability to stoop and bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands, have manual dexterity and color vision and communication with other people.
