Job Description** Looking for an Experienced CNC Lathe Operator / Programmer in Spartanburg, SC!! **

1st shift:
Monday – Thursday (6:30am - 04:00pm)
Friday (6:30am – 10:30am)

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 *** Depending on Experience ***

!! NO WEEKENDS !! *** Great working environment. ***

Employer paid Medical, Dental, 9 Paid Holidays, 401K match and Vacation

Family Owned (ESOP) Fabrication shop. Must be able to get along with a seasoned crew

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Team Member who routinely sets up and operates manual and computer numerically controlled (CNC) shop equipment using drawings and prints to consistently produce high quality parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set-up manual and CNC machines for production and prototype operation
  • Read and understand drawings and prints to produce parts as required
  • Make critical machine adjustments to maintain production rate and quality
  • Modify existing machine tool programs at control interface
  • Create precision machining programs using company software programming tools
  • Know how to inspect part characteristics at in-process and final check points
  • Assist in teaching and setting-up machines/equipment


SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:

  • Equipment Preparation, Set-up, Operation, Cleaning and Maintenance
  • Set-up and/or breakdown equipment, fixtures, tooling, etc for production and prototype parts
  • Proficiently produce simple and complex finished and semi-finished parts at the highest standards
  • Assure all department work centers and related areas are safely maintained, clean and organized
  • Perform, monitor and teach routine and preventative maintenance of machines and equipment
  • Anticipate, identify, resolve and/or notify supervisor of maintenance issues Productivity
  • Monitor workstation(s) queue volume; notify supervisor as needed to assure smooth efficient flow
  • Review, request and/or verify tooling is complete and ready for set-ups well in advance of need
  • Make recommendations for improvements to all processes, procedures and policies
  • Assist supervisor in ensuring department production, efficiency and safety goals are met


Preferred Special Requirements / Acknowledgments:

  • CNC Lathe Operatring and Programming
  • Strong Mathematical Skills
  • G/M Code Machine Programming
  • Keen Attention to Detail


Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirement:
1. Verifiable High School Diploma/GED
2. 7+ years of applicable experience machining in a manufacturing setting
3. Employment of at least one year in current job and conduct/performance of good standing
