Job Title: Industrial Furniture Seamstress (Fullerton, CA)
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Furniture Seamstress to join our production team in Fullerton, CA. This position involves sewing high-quality upholstery components for custom furniture pieces used in commercial, hospitality, and office environments. The ideal candidate will have strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and experience working with industrial sewing machines and heavy-duty materials such as vinyl, leather, and canvas.
Responsibilities:
- Operate single- and double-needle industrial sewing machines to produce upholstered furniture components.
- Sew materials including vinyl, leather, fabric, and other upholstery textiles with precision and consistency.
- Follow detailed patterns, blueprints, and work orders to meet production and quality standards.
- Inspect finished seams and products to ensure proper alignment, stitch quality, and durability.
- Collaborate with upholstery and assembly teams to complete custom furniture orders.
- Maintain sewing equipment and workstation cleanliness to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Assist in fabric cutting, pattern alignment, and other related upholstery production tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as an industrial seamstress or upholstery sewer, preferably in furniture or automotive upholstery.
- Ability to read and follow patterns, work orders, and measurements accurately.
- Skilled in operating various industrial sewing machines (e.g., walking foot, double-needle, overlock).
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to lift and handle upholstery materials and cushions as required.
- Team-oriented with good communication and reliability.
