Job DescriptionCommercial Employees is hiring a Manufacturing Technician for a Pittsburgh (Swissvale) glass manufacturer. Salaried position starting at 50k+ and higher based on experience. Weekly pay and strong benefits available. Manufacturing Technician Primary Responsibilities:

• Supports and performs setup of equipment, operates robotic and automated equipment, and evaluates results from glass manufacturing work cells.
• Works with the engineering team to accomplish the daily work plan, which could involve equipment maintenance, programming, repairs in a variety of robotic areas, inventory, equipment cleaning, forklift use, manufacturing, and other tasks as assigned.
• Performs “hands-on” tasks related to glass manufacturing preparation including batch/cullet preparation, furnace preparation, mold preparation, and analysis of ware for continuous improvement.
• Accurately documents process parameters and results on an engineering-based team for objective and thorough evaluation. Creates timely trial reports that are professional and thorough, following established Quality Management System procedures.
• Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of robotic work cells while promoting a teamwork focused environment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Technician Background:

• Associate’s degree in electrical, mechanical engineering and/or engineering technology or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience required; 2+ years of experience in robotics, controls, and/or automation strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work daylight shift with the flexibility to work a delayed start 1st shift as needed.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
