EDM Machinist, Programmer and Technical Team Leader (Electric Discharge Machining)

A leading precision engineering company located in Southwest Ohio, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced EDM Machinist to join the team, and to take the next step in their career. This position offers the opportunity to drive performance, lead a talented group of machinists, deliver precision manufacturing excellence and help shape the future of modern EDM.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Set-up, program, and operate Sinker & Wire EDM machines to produce precision parts, with complex geometries and tight tolerances, particularly in the fields of aerospace, energy and defense.
  • Lead and mentor teammates in a fast paced, precision critical environment, overseeing daily operations and ensuring productivity goals are met.
  • Ensure the flawless execution of components with tight tolerances and complex geometries.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, safety, and routine equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Mentor junior teammates and promote continuous improvement.
  • Champion a culture of zero-defect quality, traceability, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Attributes will include :

  • 5+ years of hands-on Sinker EDM experience preferably aerospace-grade materials (Inconel, titanium, and other high temp alloys).
  • 5+ years of hands-on Wire EDM experience preferably aerospace-grade materials

· Experience with 5-axis EDM machining (a major plus).

  • Proven leadership or team lead experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
  • A solid knowledge of AS9100 standards and a strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading & interpretation, CAD Models and tight-tolerance EDM machining.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Position/Type :

  • Full Time, On-Site.
