Medical Technologist II: Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca (Ithaca, NY) seeks a Medical Technologist II (multiple positions). Responsible for analyzing and testing specimens, including proficiency testing and manual procedures and reporting appropriately according to protocol; operating, maintaining and troubleshooting complex equipment; utilizing complex information systems, collecting and interpreting data; performing and interpreting quality control; maintaining a compliant environment, including adherence to all lab and hospital procedures, NYS, TJC, HIPAA standards, infection control and safety guidelines; participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities and maintain inter-and intra-departmental work flow by cooperating with others; maintain adequate inventory and conserve resources; maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, valid NY license as Medical Technologist or Clinical Lab Scientist by American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), 2 years of work experience as Medical Technologist.
