Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress/Tailor with 5 or more years of professional experience to join our team at a busy, customer-focused dry cleaning business. The ideal candidate has strong alteration skills, excellent craftsmanship, and a warm, professional approach to customer service.

Schedule:

Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality alterations on a variety of garments, including suits, dresses, uniforms, outerwear, and specialty fabrics.
• Complete fittings, take accurate measurements, and provide expert recommendations to customers.
• Handle hemming, resizing, tapering, zipper replacements, button repairs, patching, and other custom tailoring needs.
• Ensure all garments are finished with clean, professional stitching and meet company quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper handling and care of customer garments.
• Communicate clearly and politely with customers, offering excellent service and timely updates.
• Work closely with dry cleaning staff to ensure efficient garment processing and on-time completion.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a seamstress, tailor, or alterations specialist.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric types.
• Ability to perform complex alterations with precision and speed.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM
• Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
