Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations, uphold our high service standards, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. In addition to overseeing day-to-day service, the AGM will be directly involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of special events and private dining experiences. This role includes responsibility for driving event sales and ensuring their successful delivery — with performance-based bonuses tied to event sales goals. The ideal candidate will work closely with the General Manager to lead and mentor staff, manage inventory, coordinate front-of-house operations, and contribute to the restaurant’s financial and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain and enforce Bowdie’s standards of excellence in hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise, train, and mentor FOH staff including hosts, servers, and bartenders.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training efforts for all front-of-house personnel.
- Assist the General Manager with scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and cost control.
- Monitor guest feedback and take proactive measures to address any concerns or service issues.
- Collaborate with kitchen leadership to ensure seamless service between FOH and BOH.
- Manage inventory and ordering of beverages and FOH supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Lead the coordination, staffing, and service execution of all special events and private dining experiences.
- Actively support and contribute to event sales efforts, with bonuses tied to meeting or exceeding event sales targets.
- Represent the brand with professionalism, integrity, and a guest-first mindset.
