Broadley-James Corporation designs and manufactures pH and dissolved oxygen sensors for biopharmaceutical companies involved in fermentation and large scale cell culture applications. We service a worldwide customer base and provide in-depth technical support as well as superior sensor products to a demanding industry.
We are seeking a Precision Assembler who is responsible for performing basic, standardized and repetitive manual assembly operations of Broadley-James Corporations manufactured products.
Schedule: M-F, 5:30AM-2:00PM
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of routine assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, print specifications, and parts lists; gathers parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Notifies supervisor of assembly problems in order to correct and meet specifications.
- Ensures assemblies and components are properly handled and marked.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions with the approval of management.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production daily logs.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Performs other duties as required to maintain production schedule including assisting other departments in daily activities to help meet production commitments.
- Works under direct, close supervision of production supervisor, or in his/her absence, from group leader, or other management so assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to climb stairs/ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and reach with both hands and arms repetitively throughout the day.
- Must have good vision. (close, color vision, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus)
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 15 lbs. periodically throughout day.
Preferred Experience/ Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Prior experience with soldering small parts and/or small-part assembly preferred.
