WANTED: CHEMISTRY LAB TECHNICIAN WITH A LOVE FOR CLEAN DATA AND PRECISION
Tentamus Fredericksburg is looking for a Chemistry Lab Technician to join our team in Virginia. This is the hands-on, instrument-loving, method-following role that keeps our results reliable and our science sharp - the kind of work that makes the magic happen behind the scenes.
THE GIST OF THE ROLE
As the Chemistry Technician, under the guidance of our Lab Supervisor, you'll:
- Perform wet chemistry analysis as instructed by supervisor.
- Clean glassware and maintain the work area.
- Prepare reagents according to SOPs.
- Interpret analytical data.
- Assist with equipment maintenance.
- Assist with SOP and chemistry document review.
- Input data into LIMs.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION & SCHEDULE
This is a Full-Time M-F, 8:00AM –5:00PM, Onsite position at Tentamus Fredericksburg. Occasional Weekends and OT Eligible.
TO THRIVE AS THE CHEMISTRY TECHNICIAN
The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely, without restriction or sponsorship, hold a BS in Chemistry or related science field is preferred or in progress, and possess good working knowledge of laboratory terminology.
Other items include:
- Experience working in a chemistry laboratory, preferably in an analytical accredited laboratory environment.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team and possess strong interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills
- Strong familiarity with Aseptic technique preferred
- Knowledge of LIMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Possess problem solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to perform in a team environment.
