Job Description

The Planning and Scheduling Manager is responsible for all aspects of maintenance task planning and scheduling of company assets and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all areas of maintenance operations and equipment.

  • Oversee that all critical preventative and corrective maintenance is being planned and completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment through the adherence to OSHA, hazardous, safety procedures and perform frequent inspections of all equipment.

  • Schedule, assign, and approve all work hours, including overtime for mechanics

  • Create, maintain, and manage schedules for preventative maintenance to maximize the asset life and longevity of invested capital.

  • Analyze current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the utilization of assets.

  • Support the disciplinary process when needed, including contributing to investigations into personnel who are not carrying out assigned work properly or safely and recommending training or disciplinary action, as necessary.

  • Support and help drive the efficient use of CMMS for business management objectives, Quality Management System (QMS) and key performance indicators (KPI)

  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for parts and material associated with maintaining equipment.

  • Interface with equipment suppliers to develop and to review equipment specifications.

  • Manage customer relationships with vendors, operations group, and the lines, maintaining timely and transparent communication with each

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in related field or equivalent professional experience is required.
