Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Location: Englewood, Colorado

Compensation & Schedule

  • Hourly Rate: $35–$42 per hour
  • Shift Options:
    • Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
    • Wednesday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics or Structures Technicians to support aircraft maintenance operations. This role involves the assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, as well as performing drilling and riveting tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety, and precision in all aspects of their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts and equipment on aircraft under general supervision
  • Collaborate with supervisors and inspectors to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal documentation standards
  • Interpret blueprints to cut and form plastics; follow standard procedures for applying adhesives, sealants, and solvents
  • Utilize appropriate tooling to shape and form complex angles and configurations per blueprint specifications
  • Operate shop equipment including brakes, presses, riveters, shears, and hand tools
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, 5S standards, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment as required
  • Protect aircraft interiors during maintenance procedures
  • Participate in monthly 5S audits
  • Use material tracking systems to create part demands, document discrepancies, and sign off completed work
  • Support initiatives aligned with individual OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures) requirements

Required Skills

  • Experience with Thin Skin Sheet Metal (e.g., King Air aircraft)
  • A&P Certification (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal or structural modification
  • Prior experience working with thin sheet metal on corporate or general aviation aircraft

Work Environment

This role is based in a hangar setting with a structured day shift schedule. Candidates must be comfortable working in an active maintenance environment and adhering to safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
