POSITION:
CNC Machine Operator/General Labor
DEPARTMENT:
General Production
REPORTS TO:
Shift Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY
Perform the duties of production operator on CNC punching and forming machines. Perform setup functions on CNC machines after completion of training. Assist supervisor in identifying machine maintenance requirements. Perform work activities in compliance with company Health and Safety Program and ISO 9001 Quality System. Evaluate fabrication processes to determine best methods of production of products. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Perform production operations on CNC punching and forming machines

Perform Setup functions on CNC punching and forming machines when training completed

Assist other team members in setup and operation functions as needed
-
Maximize the manufacturing output of quality metal parts per production schedule.

Monitor the run throughout the cycle, checking that specifications are met
-
Identify improvements of production methods that will increase quality and profitability
-
Provide support to other departments to enable work projects to be accomplished
-
Identify maintenance issues as they arise
-
Help to solve problems related to quality, fabrication, delivery, or other task-related difficulties

Comply with Estes’ Health and Safety Program at all times
-
Perform projects within the guidelines of our ISO 9001 Quality System
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

Exhibits adequate verbal and written communication skills

Exhibits good problem-solving skills

Exhibits adequate computer skills

Able to read drawings to include material and part specifications, tolerances, notes, symbols, and multiple part views after completion of training

Able to recognize sheet metal types, gauges, sheet sizes, and finishes
-
Able to use measuring instruments such as digital calipers and protractors after completion of training
You should be proficient in:
- Machine Safety Inspections
- Machine Setups for Production Runs
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Blueprint Reading

- Roll Forming Machine
