Stepdown RN – Neuro/PCU – Rotating Shifts (NY License Only)
Start Date: 12/15/2025 | Duration: 17 weeks | End Date: 1/10/2026
Schedule: Days/Evenings/Nights – Rotating Shift Schedule with weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit needs.
About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Stepdown RN (Level II) to join a high-acuity neuro/stroke stepdown unit. This nurse will provide exceptional patient care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
The RN assumes expanded responsibilities, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee participation.
Requirements:
✅ Two (2) years Stepdown/PCU experience
✅ BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
✅ Active New York RN License (required – no compacts)
✅ Telemetry experience
✅ High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery background
Must have hands-on experience with:
- Q1 neuro checks
- EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains
- 3% NS and Cardene drips
- Arterial lines
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Aneurysm coil/clips
- Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) insertion
- VP shunts
- Seizure management
Assignment Highlights:

$21.00 Hourly taxable
