Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, schedule, and supervise journeyman millwrights, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Oversee the installation, alignment, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and production machinery.
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate with project management to meet schedule milestones and client expectations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company standards, and applicable mechanical codes.
- Review drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs to guide field execution and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate with other trades (electrical, welding, civil) to maintain workflow and resolve conflicts.
- Monitor labor performance, track material usage, and report on progress and productivity.
- Support QA/QC efforts, conduct inspections, and verify final installations meet project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Certified Journeyman Millwright (433A or equivalent) with 7–10+ years of field experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rigging practices, and industrial machinery.
- Proven experience managing crews in high-paced industrial or automation environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and layout plans.
- Skilled in the use of rigging, alignment, and measuring tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficient with field documentation and scheduling tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Excel).
