Manufacturer of heat pipes and other heat transfer devices is looking for a CNC Operator on 1st shift and one on 2nd shift. Looking for candidates who have experience working with 3-axis CNC Mills. Should have experience with basic machine set up, changing out tooling, and making adjustments to offsets.
1st shift: 7am - 3pm
2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm
Pay Rate: $25/hr and up depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC Machining Centers for single parts and production runs using written and verbal instructions and blueprints.
- Submit first article parts to Quality Control and analyze inspection reports to make necessary program and setup adjustments.
- Utilize band saws and simple tools such as hex wrenches, screwdrivers, and soft hammers.
- Change dull tooling and adjust machine offsets.
- Check part dimensions using micrometers, gage pins, drop indicators, comparators, and various other precision tools, recording these measurements on the part traveler.
- De-burr and clean parts to customer specifications.
- Provide routine maintenance on CNC Machining Centers.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skilled in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Experience with CNC setup and inspection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with editing CNC programs and offset changes.
- Comfortable working with 2000- tolerances.
- Ability to set up and check machines before running a new part.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
