Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer – Manhattan, NY
A leading MEP engineering firm in Manhattan is seeking a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to work on high-profile commercial, residential, and institutional projects in a collaborative, design-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems from concept through construction.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Perform code and standard compliance reviews (NYC Plumbing Code, NFPA, etc.).
- Conduct site surveys and field inspections as needed.
- Support project managers with client meetings and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in plumbing and/or fire protection design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
- Strong understanding of NYC codes and DOB requirements.
- EIT or PE license a plus.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
