Edenbrook Yeadon is seeking a dedicated and positive Activity Aide to join our team.
Work hours: 10 AM - 6 PM and every other weekend is included
The Activity Aide responsible for creating and implementing stimulating programs that meet the physical, emotional and psychosocial needs of the residents.
Essential Function
- Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and emotional needs of our residents
- Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day
- Help design programs to encourage socialization
- Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
- Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
- Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
- Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation

- Problem-solving skills
- The ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situations
- Ability to work under stress while remaining caring and kind
- Ability to understand and work in a variety of situations in a positive and constructive manner
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines
- Ability to be imaginative, creative, and innovative
- Musical/arts & crafts experience preferred
