Job Title: Formulation Scientist – Skin Health
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Locations: Skillman, NJ 08558 (4 days/week) / Summit, NJ 07901(1 day/week; may fluctuate based on business needs)
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Development Scientist to join our client’s Skin Health division. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on formulation work, batch processing, and laboratory testing to support new product development. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a dynamic product development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process a high volume of formulation batches in the laboratory.
- Perform formulation and product development activities at both Skillman and Summit sites.
- Conduct laboratory testing, evaluations, and stability studies to ensure product quality and performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of experimental data and batch records.
- Organize, label, and deliver product samples as required.
- Follow established formulation guidelines and equipment setup procedures.
- Support product scale-up and process optimization activities.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, and project timelines.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of formulation experience (inclusive of internship and industry experience).
- Experience in product development preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of basic raw materials and lab equipment setup.
- Prior experience in skin care or consumer goods is a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
- Flexibility to work between multiple lab locations as needed.
