PSYCHIATRIC-MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER – ORIENT, OH
Pay Rate: $70.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (No nights, weekends, or holidays)
Hours: 20 hours per week (some flexibility within 7 a.m.–5 p.m. based on facility needs)
Location: Correctional Facility – Orient, OH
Assignment Length: Approx. 3 months with possibility of extension
Interview: On-site interview required
Job Description:
The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide on-site mental health services to the male population housed at a correctional reception center in Orient, OH. This role is strictly weekday-based with no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts required. The practitioner will work 20 hours per week, with some flexibility on scheduling depending on facility needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care
- Provide medication management and clinical oversight
- Collaborate with correctional healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and facility protocols
- Support the mental health needs of an adult male incarcerated population
Credentialing Requirements:
The following documents must be submitted for consideration:
- Comprehensive resume including education (with location and graduation year), training, and full work history
- Active Ohio license
- BLS/CPR (Healthcare Professional level) certification
- Board Certification (Psychiatric-Mental Health NP)
- DEA certification (if required for assignment)
If an offer is extended, the vendor must provide drug test results and TB test documentation to the hiring manager at least 48 hours before the start date. Failure to submit these on time may result in a postponed start.
