Job DescriptionThe Quality Control (QC) position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards for all CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) inspection videos and related documentation generated by field crews. The QC specialist plays a critical role in validating the integrity of the data collected, ensuring it meets client and company specifications, and preparing it for final submission and analysis. Part-Time (10-20 hrs per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Review and Validation:
- Watch and analyze CCTV video footage of pipelines to verify accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Ensure all required inspection parameters (e.g., footage counts, lateral locations, pipe features and defects) are correctly captured and logged.
- Confirm that the video adheres to NASSCO PACP (Pipeline Assessment Certification Program) standards or other specified client/project protocols.
- Data Integrity and Reporting:
- Review all associated inspection reports, log sheets, and data entries for errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
- Verify that defect codes, severity ratings, and descriptions accurately reflect the conditions observed in the video.
- Correct minor data entry errors and flag major issues requiring field crew follow-up or re-inspection.
- Coordination and Feedback:
- Communicate effectively with CCTV field crews and Project Managers regarding data quality issues, missing information, and necessary corrections.
- Provide constructive feedback and training to field personnel to improve data collection techniques and quality consistency.
- Final Documentation Preparation:
- Assemble and prepare final deliverable packages, including videos, reports, and summary data, for client submission.
- Ensure all documentation is properly organized, labeled, and archived according to company procedures.
- Assist with the import and export of data into various asset management software platforms.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field (e.g., civil engineering technology, GIS, utilities).
- Certification in NASSCO's Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in sanitary sewer inspection, CCTV operations, or related quality control/data management role.
- Proficiency in CCTV inspection software (e.g., SewerAI - Pioneer) is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot minute discrepancies in video and data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret video evidence and apply complex coding standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle high volumes of data and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with data entry, file management, and Google Workspace.
