Controls Engineer
Location: Garner, IA
Salary: $80-130k DOE
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming, HMI development, and experience with robotics and system integration to enhance our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for automation projects.
- Program PLCs and develop HMI interfaces for user interaction.
- Implement and troubleshoot VFDs and AC/DC circuits in automated systems.
- Collaborate with robotics teams to integrate automated solutions.
- Utilize SCADA systems for monitoring and control of processes.
- Develop technical documentation and system specifications.
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Work with CAD and AutoCAD electrical tools to create and modify control schematics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, VFD programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley preferred).
- Familiarity with robotics and industrial automation systems.
- Proficient in AC/DC circuits and SCADA systems.
- Skilled in CAD and AutoCAD electrical for design purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
